Information on Aurora Valley

Basic

Aurora Valley stands upon a cliff that looks over the beautiful crystal-blue waters of the Crystalline Sea, lined with a gorgeous white-sandy beach. Aurora Valley is one of the most advanced cities in all of Arcanus. The people that live there know the value of a good day's work, and can be said to be very proper, and most of them are very well off. You walk down the main streets, and they're lined with shops, with everything you might desire. Surrounding the shops are the towns homes, and beyond that, facing the sea, is the building that houses the cities leader, Lady Gia Trakana. In a semi-circle, with it being the center, temples and other government bulidings form a protective semi-circle. Aurora Valley is both beautiful and dangerous, as for the unweary, it's cliffs are fatal. But keep in mind that not everything in Aurora Valley is as it appears...

The current ruler of Aurora Valley is a young woman by the name of Gia Trakana, who has ruled for eight years since the death of the last ruler.

History

After the split of the original one-city peoples of Arcanus, the people that would be of Aurora Valley, went the opposite direction, east, and established the City of Aurora Valley between Aurora Valley, the city’s namesake, and the Sea of Aurora. They’ve had a pretty peaceful history. There have been a few skirmishes, but nothing too serious. There was a little revolution, but the current ruler at the time, Lady Melonda Kuranta, the first female ruler of Aurora Valley, stopped it before it got too far. Some people were injured, but only a few were killed.

Culture

The people of Aurora Valley are not that religious, but some people are devout. They are the most advanced of all the people of Arcanus. Overall, religion is dying out in favor of science and other matters of the mind. They spend their time working for either the good of the city or the good of their family. While they do enjoy an occasional rest, it is not uncommon to find many people working day to day, and enjoying it. They do not think that fighting is their life, but most people prepare because war is in inevitable.

Robes are typical of the people of Arcanus, although it is not unheard of for women to wear dresses or men to go without their robes, though for them, it is preferred.

Peoples

The people of Aurora Valley are hard working, and know the value of a good days’ work. However, they are not as peaceful as they seem. They do know how to fight, and very well at that. There are more than ready to fight the Deproelior’s. They can very calculating, and clever. Everyone else perceives them as proud, hardworking people, and nothing more. Unless you are from Aurora Valley, you don’t really know someone from Aurora Valley.

Information on Deproelior

Basic

Deproelior is not as advanced as Aurora Valley, but it pretty advanced. The people of City Deproelior are a warring people, and take pleasure in fighting or helping those who can fight prepare for war. Children are trained from childhood to want to fight, or help others. Most women in City Deproelior own the shops there as men fight and not many women fight, very few acutally. Surrounding the city is a vast plain, that many people go to relax after a long day of training. Not far from the city itself is a mountain range, named Mountains of Rage. Be wary those who do not live here... This city's citizens do not take kindly to strangers...

The ruler of Deproelior has died recently. His Head of Security, Radkal Rzyom, ruled for a bit in the absence of a leader until a young man by the name of Stratos of Noaziel was appointed leader.

History

After the split of the original one-city peoples of Arcanus, the people that would be of Deproelior, went west, and established the City Deproelior near the Mountains of Rage and the Plain of Deproelior, the city's namesake. They are a battle-ready, war-like people, preparing for a war between the people of Aurora Valley that they think is eventually eminent. Their life revolves around preparing for battle. They have never had a female ruler in the past before.

Culture

The life in City Deproelior revolves around making weapons and preparing for war against their long-time enemies, the people of Aurora Valley. Since most of the men in City Deproelior are in the army, they do not wear robes that are typical of men in Arcanus. They wear armor mostly since most of the time they are preparing for war. They change into robes when they are done for the day and relax, and then go back to preparing for battle the next day.

They are not very religious, and are they are the least religious of the three peoples of Arcanus. Very few people in City Deproelior are religious, and most people there don’t really like religion, and tend to ignore people when they go to pray at the temple. There is only one in City Deproelior.

People

The people of City Deproelior enjoy preparing for battle. Most of them are rough and can be crude, and are tough. They can be quite predictable when it comes to their harsh attitudes, but they are experts of battle, and are tough to beat in a fight.

Information on Laknos

Basic

The City of Laknos is a peaceful place. They are the people that came together when the Deproelians and Aurora Valliens split. After the first war, they came together, against war. They relocated after the death of the last queen. They now live on beautiful Lake Cobaea, surrounded by the Hills of Desperation and Sprite Forest. The people here are amiable and like to mind their own business, and don't delve into the matters of others. They’re fairly advanced, as well, and more intellectual than people from the other two cities.

Bordering the City of Laknos are the Hills of Desperation. Not very steep or dangerous, they are a nice place to go to get away from the city and the crowds that are usually at the lake after work. Most people come here to relax after a hard days work if the lake is too crowded, or they just feel like it. The peaceful Lake Laknos is fairly good sized, and is also fairly deep in places. It's very good for a day fishing, swimming, or just laying by the lake relaxing. Once you cross the Bridge of Liatris on the Fortune River, which is right below the Lake, you go into Sprite Forest.

The current ruler of Laknos is an older man by the name of Bohren Viland, who has been Lord of Laknos for almost thirty years.

History

After the split of the one-city original peoples of Arcanus, the people that would be of Laknos, went a different direction than the other two groups of people, north, and established the City of Laknos on Laknos and near the Hills of Desperation, Sprite Forest, and Lake Cobea. They have had a very peaceful history, and only have 1 skirmish in all of their history as a separate city. They have had three female rulers so far.

Culture

The people of Laknos are a very peaceful people, mind their own business, and stay out of the business of others. They are also the most religious of all of the peoples of Arcanus. Many temples surround their city. They enjoy their peace and quiet, and enjoy celebrating the coming of a new season, something often missed in Deproelior and Aurora Valley.

People

The people of Laknos are very peaceful and not violent, and can be said to be peacemakers. They tend to stay out of other peoples business, and mind their own business. They don’t like to be mixed up in the affairs of others. The people of Laknos are inherently smarter than those from the other two cities. The people from Aurora Valley and Deproelior are not stupid by any means, though. The people of Laknos also enjoy literature and the reading of books more than Aurora Valley and Deproelior.
