Name: Gia Trakana
Age: 24
City: Aurora Valley
Appearance: Gia is quite short, only standing five foot two. Standing about a head below average, she is short even for a woman. She has very pleasant curves – large breasts curving down into a small waist and then out into her well-proportioned hips. She has brown hair of a very dark shade. Her eyes are bright, entrancing green, and her skin is a pale white, both unusual traits for someone with hair so dark. Her skin has little color to it unless she blushes or gets heated up, and she does not tan - she burns, and she burns easily, too. She does not deviate from the usual attire of women in Aurora Valley – dresses, and she usually prefers darker colors, only wearing lighter colors when the occasion - or the need - suits her. She also wears concealed daggers that she never goes anywhere without.
History: Gia Trakana was born to small tailor shop owner for a father, and a mother who was told by Aurora Valley’s doctors that she could never have another baby after the difficult delivery with Gia where she almost lost her life. She was never expected to succeed much. Her family was not poor, but not really well off either. Her father’s shop struggled, and he was forced to do all the shop work by himself, seeing as he couldn't afford to pay an assistant what was required. His wife would help whenever she could. Gia got used to not having the best of everything. She was happy with her life anyway.
When Gia was young girl, she met another young girl named Aura Adnarim, daughter of a friend of her father’s. The two had much in common, and enjoyed sparring with each other and chatting about whatever came to their minds. They were a perfect balance for each other. After school, they would spar with their swords, and then go back to Gia’s house or sit underneath a tree to talk about whatever gossip was floating around school at the time. Gia would help her father in the family shop when her mother was unable or when they needed extra help.
The ruler when Gia was born, Donai Takano, had known Gia’s father, and occasionally went by there to see if they were all right. He knew their financial situation was not very great, but the man refused to take money. He was surprised at Gia’s intelligence and understanding, even when she was so young. He told his officials that he wanted that young woman to be ruler when he was gone. Of course, he counted on living longer than he did. A few years later, he died, much sooner than anyone expected, leaving his four assistants with a tough decision.
The rulers, not knowing what do, since Gia was very, very young, and hadn’t even reached a mature age yet. However, the ruler former ruler’s wishes on the matter at hand were solid, and there was no law to prevent the young woman from becoming ruler. Unless the person was obviously corrupt or a criminal, the law prevented the four government officials from preventing her from becoming ruler. So, at the tender age of fifteen, Gia became the second Lady of Aurora Valley.
A year or so after that, sadness struck her family. Her mother became suddenly ill and passed away, leaving her father devastated. He refused to take care of himself, and within six months, was dead himself, leaving Gia, and not even seventeen years old yet, an orphan. By law, someone that age wasn’t really supposed to live by herself. However, Gia moved out of her family’s house – abandoning it, and used her ruler’s salary – that was very high – and bought herself a better apartment. She was checked on frequently by her four assistants as well as Aura and her parents.
Gia watched as her best friend, Aura, joined the army, and did everything that she could to succeed. Recently, Gia was faced with a tough decision. War with the City of Deproelior was inevitable, and growing ever closer. With it eminent, she needed to know that inner workings of Deproelior’s military – and she needed it done by someone she trusted explicitly. Therefore, she knew that there was only one person that she could ask. It was not an easy decision, but Aura Adnarim was the only person that Gia trusted enough for the job.
Personality: Gia is intelligent, and sharp. She knows how to make a tough decision for the good of the city and not herself. She’s very persistent, and when it comes to her city, she knows what it wants and what it needs. However, when it comes to matters of the heart, Gia is extremely naïve. Due to becoming ruler at so young an age, she has had only one short relationship, which happened before she arose to her position of power. She rarely makes a decision to benefit herself, and when faced with one, would not know how to act. She can also be a bit guarded, and it takes her a while to warm up to people. Despite all of this, she also has a dark side – she can be ruthlessly ambitious, and will make a hard decision, even if it means sending someone she loves to their death. She also has a secret violent and dangerous side that can scare people when faced with it, despite her small stature.
