Name: Larianna Mortista
Age: 29
City: Deproelior
Appearance: Larianna stands at around average height at five-foot-five. She has a very slight figure. Her curves are there, but they’re small – small breasts, with a small waist, and small hips. It does take much for clothes to make her figure… not existent, so she tends to wear clothes that are a tad tighter so one actually realizes that yes, she does have them. Her hair is a dark auburn. It’s as straight as a board, and hangs down to her waist. She usually keeps it up and back, so it’s out of her face. Her skin has a light tan to it, and her almond-shaped eyes are gray in color, which can seem warm or cold, depending on how she’s feeling at the moment. She really is quite pretty, if she can shut mouth long enough to not seem like too much of a jerk, that is.
History: Larianna was born the second child and only daughter of Torit and Janina Mortistsa. She has an older brother by the name of Dionel, who’s five years her senior. Her family was old money, and she understood from a young age that her brother would inherit everything. They told her that her place was raising children and running the household of her rich husband. Normally, Deproelioran women ran the business while their husbands trained for war. However, a rich woman had no need to run a business. Their money was in the right places, so they would not run out. There was no reason for her to ever need to worry about that. It always annoyed her, though, and she felt like useless when it was mentioned. Therefore, she made it her mission to never feel useless.
Growing up, Larianna insisted on learning how to fight and defend herself, even though her parents insisted such things were not necessary. She disagreed vehemently, so her parents hired a teacher to teach her as much as she wanted to know. She became decent with a sword, but fairly adept with a bow and arrow. She made it a point to learn whatever she felt she would need to know for her life later, since being a housewife was not what she had in mind. She only became friends with anyone she needed to be friends with to get what it was what she wanted –which at the time was to pass school so she could move on with her life. Her parents never understood why she didn’t want to fall in line with their plan for her, but once she made it clear that she would not lie down and marry the next suitor that came calling, her father agreed to help her out.
When she got out of school, Larianna’s father arranged her with a job as a secretary for the son of a friend of his, Aldeth Abani, a weapons manufactuer. She was furious. Her, a secretary? She quickly went along with it, though, because at least it was out of her parent’s hair and the money she earned would be hers and hers alone. By the time she would have considered quitting, she was making more money than she’d knew she’d get at anywhere else, and once Aldeth had “expanded” his business, she was in too deep to quit now. It wasn’t as if she cared about what he was up to. She hadn’t any love for the war, either, and it wasn’t as if she had any moral objections to it, either, so she continues to work for him.
Personality: Larianna has a very aggressive and assertive personality. She always has to have the last word in any debate, which tends to annoy most people around her. She never backs down from a challenge, which has gotten her into trouble before. She tends to wear her emotions on her sleeve, but she is a decent actress when she needs to be. She’s a very passionate person about anything she has strong feelings about – whether it is a person or money, or anything in between. She doesn’t have any qualms in stating her opinion, and will normally do so even if it’s not necessarily the best decision.
