Name: Yerm Kaddril
Age: 60
City: Laknos
Appearance: Yerm Kaddril stands just under six feet tall, in his younger years his hansome face had been something that women swooned over, always fit and well groomed. His dark hair has faded to silver and is kept pulled back into a ponytail. He has a regal face and a hawkish nose, with high cheek bones, although now weathered, he still has the shadow of good looks. Although age is upon him he remains fit and noble looking, always shaven and clean.
History: Yerm was born in Deproelior, raised and trained in the greatest military tradition, the son of nobles he was left with want of nothing. He was trained with the blade by the greatest tutors that gold could buy. At nineteen he married a young girl by the name of Frona, she died along with their unborn child eight years later after a fall from a horse in the lake city. With a heavy heart he departed his city of birth and moved to Laknos.
From here he sold his time as a tutor to those who could afford it, travelling to the other cities for weeks at a time. Often proving his skills in arena fights he established a reputation as one of the great swordsmen in his day, even as he aged his sill made up for his waning strength and falling speed, he continued arena fighting until his early fifties, buy such time he was still rarely defeated. Only those of great skill could beat him, and they where few but their numbers grew in his declining years. His retirement was celebrated and mourned by his fans. He is now a full time tutor he trains anyone who is willing to learn and can afford his price (and some who show great promise but cant pay).
Personality: Wise and grand with a dry sense of humour. Yerm is slow to anger, with a laid back attitude. He enjoys his work of teaching the young, for they will shape the world long after he is gone. Although he is proud of his Arena record, he dos not boast of it, but will regale young children with stories of his battles in the taverns where he stays when away from Laknos. Telling of the people who beat him and how they’d done it, just as often as how he had beaten one man or another. The sparkle in their eyes as he tells these tales brings a smile to his face and a warmth to his heart. On dark nights in Laknos when he is alone sadness for the loss of his wife and child grips him and he drinks heavily and is often seen stumbling to the tree where his wife is buried to sit in the darkness and cry.
